North Shore Christian School,

is seeking gifted elementary and middle school educators in the following areas:   

· Middle School Language Arts:  successful candidates must be certified or certifiable in middle school, possess a passion for literature and called to teach at this unique developmental stage.  Experience is desired.

· Grade 5 Classroom Teacher: certified or certifiable  educators are encouraged to apply for this important grade level.  Experience is desired.

· Teaching Assistants: 2 full-time assistants to aid classroom teachers in lower school.

· Art: Part-time position to cover 9 teaching periods per week in grades K-8.

· Music: Part-time position to cover 9 teaching periods per week in grades K-8.

· Spanish: Part-time position to cover 12 teaching periods per week in grades 6-8.

A strong curriculum is wide, deep, challenging and varied. In every discipline and in every classroom, there is a balance achieved between skill and understanding, training and discovery, ability and imagination, standard techniques and creative invention. The achievement of such a balance is the charge of every teacher in our school.

In practice, our students are pushed beyond the memorization of facts and the acquisition of important content. They are taught to explore what lies beneath the surface enabling them to develop accurate and deep

understanding. While our program is challenging we are equipped through our Discovery Center to address a variety of learning levels.
