Monique especially loves being a part of her son’s school world. “From the beginning, I have appreciated how the teachers and staff made that possible,” she shares, “incredibly, even through a pandemic!”

He and his wife, Bianca, are parents to two young children, Giovanni and Uri, both of whom started at NSCS as preschoolers on the Lynn campus.

Through the decades Stephen has witnessed firsthand the benefits of an NSCS education. “It starts with the School’s Christ-centered foundation and continues with the commitment to academic excellence,” he states. “The care and passion of the teachers and staff are remarkable. It really makes all the difference to the children. Providing this context for the formative years of our children’s lives is the basis for what they are going to accomplish as they continue on from this School.”

Enrollment growth is central to Stephen’s vision for NSCS: “I have seen the impact of what NSCS provides to my boys and it is my hope and desire to see other children benefit from the same opportunities.”

Michael Mastromatteo, Board Member

Board member since 2023.  Michael F Mastromatteo, M.D. is a board-certified physician and has been in practice for 26 years.  He has served on several committees during his tenure in a busy private practice and was nominated for the board of directors.  He was also the medical director of the Vein Specialists of the North Shore and Vascular Access of the North Shore, located in the Cummings Center in Beverly.

Michael and his wife Lisa decided in the summer of 2021 to enroll their 4th grade daughter Ella in North Shore Christian School.  Having lived in Beverly for years, they were somewhat familiar with the school. But after meeting with Head of School Pam Heintz, it became clear that NSCS shared the same ideals they were looking for in education: Christian, Bible-based learning with focus on reading and writing, free from the jurisdiction of the state.  He desires to see substantial growth in admissions in the upcoming years, as he views NSCS as a beacon of light alternative to an otherwise amoral and broken public education system.

Michael and his family enjoy several activities together including playing music, cooking, baking, golfing, fishing, skiing, arts and crafts, farm life and horseback riding.  They reside in Beverly, MA and have two Labrador retrievers, Moose and Matilda.
