Dear NSCS Families,

I want to take a moment to thank you for your partnership with us this school year. As I looked around during our last chapel gatherings of the year, I was reminded of the many ways each student has grown throughout the year. I am so thankful to be a part of this community. There is so much to celebrate and reflect on as we head into a new season and change of pace this summer.
Below you will find links to summer learning packets, meant to encourage continued academic engagement. The goal of summer learning is to provide meaningful opportunities for students to use their literacy and math skills, while building in student choice. By engaging in academics over the summer, students keep the momentum of learning and are better prepared for the next school year.
To encourage consistent participation, students are asked to return the packet at the start of the 2024-2025 school year and will be recognized for their efforts. Students entering grades 1-4 will receive a prize for completed work. For students entering grades 5-8, a portion of their homework grade for ELA and math for the first trimester will be based on completed summer learning packets.
Please take time to look over the expectations below and reach out with any questions. I pray this summer allows for meaningful time together as a family and opportunities for fun and rest!

Thank you,

Liz Scottron
